So here's the first chapter. Hopefully I haven't disappointed anyone yet, so here I go.
Enjoy^^
Title: Finding Lost Time
Rating: PG-13? *rating may change later on but it won't go any higher than a PG-15 or 16, I promise.*
Pairings: YunJae ; YooSu ; YeTeuk (Yesung//Eeteuk)
Summary: Three years ago, they made a promise on his birthday and sealed it with a pair of rings. The next day, he was nowhere to be found. Their classmates told him he left the country last night but he held onto their promise. He wouldn't forget Jaejoong. Three years later, Jaejoong comes back, but he doesn't remember their promise or Yunho at all. Feeling hurt and betrayed, Yunho vows to hurt Jaejoong until his last days at their school. Jaejoong doesn't have a clue why Yunho hates him so much. What's the truth behind all this drama?
----
"Ugh, I hate Mondays." a raven-haired 18 year old boy trudged through the spotless morning halls of SM Academy. Next to him was a brunette boy of the same age with a moderately cheerful smile on his face.
"You mean you hate Monday mornings." he said in response, emphasizing the last word.
"No, I mean I hate Mondays, Junsu." the other said flatly as he opened his locker. He took out an English textbook, stowing in his bag before taking out several smaller books and putting them in the locker, locking it closed.
Junsu did the same, opening his locker with swift unlocking of the combination lock, and taking out a notebook and several pens with ridiculously cute charms dangling from their clickers. He stowed them in his bag before closing the locker and snapping the lock in place.
"At least you don't have English first period, Jaejoong. Ms. Lee isn't exactly a shot of the happiest stuff in the world." Junsu reasoned, pointing his pen at Jaejoong.
"I do have English with you, Junsu...babbo..." Jaejoong said in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Oh, yeah..." Junsu scratched his head sheepishly.
Jaejoong yawned tiredly. Just then, another boy walked up to him. From his height, you would never guess that he was younger than the other two but he was.
"Hyung, you didn't sleep again?" Jaejoong shook his head in reply, yawning again. The younger boy's brow furrowed in slight worry.
"I was sleeping until I woke up with a headache..." Junsu raised an eyebrow before looking at the hall clock.
"Changmin-ah, you have Physics soon, you should get going."
Changmin's expression changed to one of realization. "Oh, that's right! See you later, hyung!"
With that, the junior ran off into the quiet halls, leaving his two hyungs to groan when the bell rang seconds later.
Barely a moment later, the doors burst open, letting in wave after wave of students. Junsu rolled his eyes after seeing several girls swoon.
"Better get going, he's here." Jaejoong narrowed his eyes.
"I might just start taking early classes just so I don't have to go through this every morning..." Jaejoong muttered before trying to sneak unnoticed through the crowd of girls with Junsu.
He almost made it. Almost.
"Agh!" He tripped and fell flat on his arse.
"You're just clumsy as ever, aren't you, Kim?" He looked up at the hatefully amused voice. His eyes narrowed behind black-rimmed glasses.
"Jung Yunho. Why does every day of my life have to be with you?" Jaejoong replied coldly.
"Same here, Kim Jaejoong. What did I ever do to deserve this?" Yunho said with a smirk, obviously talking about the one still sprawled on the floor.
Jaejoong scowled, his hand beginning to fist. Junsu noticed and quickly held his arm firmly.
"Forget about it, hyung. Let's just get to class." Jaejoong reluctantly got up as Yunho left with a detestable smirk on his lips.
"Aish, that jerk gets on my nerves sometimes..." he said as he brushed fust from his uniform.
"Don't you mean all the time?" Junsu teased, unable to resist the oppurtunity. Jaejoong promptly bopped him over the head with a notebook as they walked to
"Ouch! Hey, I was just joking!" Junsu protested, shielding his head with his hands in case the older attacked again.
----
"So, hyung, what happened in your dream anyway?"
Jaejoong yawned, still tired.
"I don't really remember much of it. I was in a town that smelled like the ocean and rain."
"I've never heard of a place like that." Junsu replied, tapping his chin as if to try and remember if he'd ever been to a town like the one Jaejoong described. In the end, they both gave up and sat down at a table.
Changmin went on the lunch line, apparently starving. At least that's what they thought he as, considering the way he scarfed down third and fourth helpings with no effort at all. Vaguely creeping them out in the process.
"How on earth can you eat all that and still be hungry, Minnie?" Junsu asked in disbelief.
Changmin shrugged and forked another piece of chocolate cake into his mouth. Jaejoong oggled him oddly before shaking his head and taking out a plastic box with his lunch in it.
"What did you bring today, Jaejoong?"
"Ah, I made kimbap [1]." Jaejoong answered as he opened the box. Everything was neatly ordered, the seaweed and rice rolls striaght and strangely perfect.
Junsu took one, followed by Changmin. "Hyung, did anyone ever tell you you're like a girl sometimes? I've never met a guy besides you who can cook like this."
Jaejoong frowned. "Is that supposed to be an insult?"
"I really don't know." Junsu laughed at that response while Jaejoong sulked over a kimbap roll.
"Still thinking about that dream, hyung?"
Jaejoong sighed. "Hm."
Junsu finished off the kimbap and licked his fingers clean. "Don't worry about it. It's just a dream, right?"
"I guess..."
----
"Is school over yet?" Jaejoong trudged to the art studio.
"Nope." Junsu answered cheerfully. Jaejoong groaned, going to his locker.
Setting several textbooks neatly into his locker, he took out a sketchpad and a box of pencils. "I hate Mondays..."
"At least it can't get worse..."
Jaejoong looked out from behind his locker door. "You just had to say that...guess who's here?"
Junsu turned around, his eyes immediately narrowing. "You."
"Chun. Hello, Su-shii [2]" A handsome boy about their age walked up to them, his hands casually in his pockets and a smile akin to a prince's gracing his face.
"Yoochun, come to annoy me again? Why can't you just leave me alone?" Junsu replied venomously, a part of his personality that was reserved only for the boy in front of him.
Meanwhile, Jaejoong scooted away from the pair little-by-little, not wanting to be involved in the argument that was to come.
"No, I was actually leaving the bathroom, Su-shii. And to answer your other question, I can't refrain from annoying you because you're just too easy to annoy for me to leave alone."
With that said, Yoochun grinned smugly at the way Junsu's cheeks colored after he said that.
"Do you enjoy aggravating me, Park Yoochun? Never mind, don't answer that." Junsu said in frustration.
Yoochun grinned ever wider before brushing past the irritated boy with his hands still in his pockets, leaving Junsu to resist smacking the pleased grin right off his face.
"Done?" Jaejoong asked, eyebrow raised. Junsu scowled, a look not befitting his usual chipper self.
"What do you mean by that?" Junsu asked with an peeved expression.
"Anio, anio [3], it's nothing..." Jaejoong replied off-handedly, somewhat enjoying that he was further annoying the younger boy.
Junsu pouted, grabbing his stuff and following his hyung. "You're just mean sometimes, Jaejoong!"
The raven-haired boy just waved and laughed as the younger one caught up to him, pout still displayed.
------
[1] Kimbap is a Korean food consisting of rice and various vegetables all wrapped in seaweed.
[2] My self-created Junsu name pun. (Jun)Su-shii=Sushi. Mine so no one take without creditting me, okies? Good^^
[3] "Anio, anio..." This is just Korean for "No, no..." Simple, right?
Okay, you've now been introduced to Jaejoong, Junsu, Changmin, Yunho, and Yoochun in that order. Yesung and Eeteuk will be in the next chapter unless I change my mind. The additional SJ members will be introduced in later chapters, if I'm lucky.
For now, this is the only ongoing fanfiction I'll be working on. Here and there, I'll still be writing a few SJ oneshots for 100 SJ Fic Challenge on my other LJ
aznk_popaddict, but mainly I'll be working on this. But on the side, I'll also start posting my already finished non-AU YunJae fanfic.
Hope you liked this first chapter. *A prologue may be up soon but that depends on whether I have time in between to write it.*
Much Love,
Su-shii
